Dear Community, I am working with histology TIFFs. Sometimes they are as big as 3 GBs. They are multipage tiffs (12 pages). My platform is. I have a set of Multi Page TIF image files, which I am trying to split into individual images. I have tried using convert, which does the trick, but. I have a collection of 10, or so PDF files that need to be converted to Multi- Page Tiff’s. I would like to group the files and do this in chunks.

I was working with single page tiff, i was using composite to overlap a colored logo over the tiff image and finally i get a single mu,tipage pdf with color logo, that was just great, but whit multiple page tiff things changed, i only get a single page pdf instead a multi page pdf.

I suspect you problem with not getting multiple frames for the tif is either a bug in your version of IM or an issue with the proper device for the PDF in your delegates. Maybe add buffers for writing Select imagemgaick identify multipage. I wonder if there could be something about the formatting of the PDF that could interfere with the conversion??
Now im working on it to install a new version on my server, then i can use all the examples listed up there. I would like to group the files and do this in chunks.
Composite multi page tiff to multi page pdf Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. I understand from the examples what the imagemagicl are suppose to do but I’m not any closer to making it happen. Of course ill be tuned, as i said im kinda new on IM and i really want to learn all the benefits of using IM on compose and imagemgick image files.

The real world says that there’s a concept of streaming transforms, and unpacking a huge image stack in memory simultaneously is lame and fugly. Bit 0 is 1 for 2-dimensional coding otherwise 1-dimensional is assumed.

So you may need to separate all the frames of the tiff using -coalesce and then use -layers composite to overlay the logo on each of them. So hopefully Anthony or some one else can clarify this.
